国連科学委員会の誠意？

国連科学委員会（UNSCEAR）のパブリック・ミーチングがいわき市で開催される当日（７月２１日）の朝に、以下のようなメールがUNSCEARの事務局長（Borislava Batandjieva-Metcalf）より届いた。

２１日のいわき市でのパブリックミーテングの詳細が明らかになる前の、7月５日に小生から出していたメールに対する回答であった。

前日の２０日に、福島県庁で会った時に回答が来ないと言った事も影響したのだろう。彼女の言い訳は、メールが毎日２０通もあり、忙しく対処できないとのコメントでもあったが・・パブリックミーテングの当日でも、始まる前のぎりぎりに回答が届いたのは、訪日中の忙しい中でも、最低限の誠意を見せてくれたものと捉えたい。

 アウトリーチではなく『パブリック・ミーテングン』に名称変更したのは、小生からの要求を受け入れ、名称変更したとしている。

 但し、質問時間は最低でも１．５Hを取って欲しいという件は、今回は約１Hだった。やはり１．５Hあれば小生や他の学者からの質問ができたはずで、非常に残念！

およびまもなく日本語で入手できます。』ともある。

しかしこのWebサイトに小生からの質問と回答が掲載されるは思えない。いまだに真っ当な回答が無いのだから・・

Thank you very much for the increased interest in the UNSCEAR work and it was a very good opportunity to meet you yesterday in Fukushima.

Many of the points you raised have been addressed  - e.g. the workshop has been renamed as public meeting. There will be consecutive interpretation as announced in the invitation on our website (https://www.unscear.org/unscear/uploads/res/events/ffup-ii-outreach-event-japan-2022_html/ISSUED_Iwaki_Invitation_2207012_rev1.pdf).
I learned that you are registered and received guidance about the meeting (face to face meeting and no pre-questions).

 The agenda for the event will be presented and tailored to the public non-technical audience.

The questions and answers in English are available on our website (https://www.unscear.org/unscear/en/areas-of-work/fukushima-report-faq) and in Japanese shortly.

I would like to inform you that the event is following the local COVID-19 protective measures and we are in coordination with the authorities in Japan on that matter.

I hope that you will find this information and todays public event in Iwaki useful.

 Thank you for your very quick response.

 If the outreach Agenda is decided and released on HP, please contact us by email as soon as possible.We would be grateful if you could answer the following questions.

1. Where will the events be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st?

2.  Is the holding time about 3 hours a day?

3. Please allow at least 1.5 hours for questions and answers and exchange of opinions.

4. Is it a simultaneous interpreter?

5. Do you accept pre-questions?

6. Is Agenda in Iwaki City different from Agenda in other venues?

7.The name of “outreach”  should be changed to the meeting for discussion.

Your prompt reply and action  would be highly appreciated.
